365 Day Photography Project Day 212: Winter Flowering Jasmine

Winter Jasmine (jasminum nudiflorum) flowers in winter or early spring. The bright yellow blooms have six petals and are about a centimetre in diameter; they appear on bare stems, prior to leaf growth.

Native to China, the winter jasmine is a deciduous creeping vine. Stems stay dark green during winter, giving the appearance of an evergreen.

Winter jasmine prefers partial shade or full sun and thrives in well-drained soil.
