
Following yesterday’s post about the possible reasons behind the nasturtium flower’s need for a fringe at the entrance to the trumpet, I came across an orange one today and took a few shots of the fringe with a shallow depth of field to see it close up.
Unfortunately, a close up of the fringe doesn’t give away any more clues as to it’s uses, so at least for now, I’m sticking with the pollen-trapping theory ;0)
