365 Day Photography Project Day 567: Old and Abandoned [Spider’s Web]

This old, rotting shed door hasn’t been opened up in a while, leaving nature to take it’s course and wildlife to invade, so I took my macro lens on a tour of unusual perspectives and inconspicuous details today.

To get a perception of the angle of the shot, visualize looking up at the hinge side of a door, with your cheek pushed against the wooden planks of the door – and this is exactly what you see…

A worn out spider’s web, long-since abandoned, with all manner of debris caught up in it. The higher up the photo you look, the more sheltered it becomes and the denser the web is, as new webs have been constructed on top of old ones.
