365 Day Photog Project Day 581: Princess Lily

Raindrops on petals and anthers of a Princess lily (Alstroemeria), also referred to as the Parrot lily, Peruvian lily, Parrot flower or occasionally the Lily of the Incas.

The term lily originates from the Ancient Greek ‘leiron’, with reference to the White Madonna Lily. The Princess lily signifies devotion and friendship. Lilies are the birth flower for people born in May and the floral symbol for the 30th wedding anniversary.
