A snail (gastropoda).
The snail in today’s image might only be a miniature one, however the largest land snail ever documented weighed in at around nine hundred grams – that’s virtually two pounds! From tip-to-tail, it measured fifteen inches – close to forty centimeters! Gee Geronimo, as it became known, was a Giant African Snail discovered in 1976 in Sierra Leone.
