Daffodils (Narcissus). This shot was composed with quite a shallow depth of field, to crisply focus on the trumpet of the foreground daffodil and bring it’s anthers into view, with a mass of yellow petals fading into the background.

Last winter, we didn’t even see buds on our daffs until well into February, yet somehow here we are, barely two weeks into January and daffodils are blooming!
