365 Day Photography Project Day 637: The Stigma of a Lily [Flowers]

Continuing in experimenting to get ever closer to my subject matter, I managed to drop lucky on this tiny, hairy princess lily (Alstroemeria) stigma.

In addition to focusing specifically on the single flower component, I was fortunate to have the light strike the flower at such an angle as to highlight the stigma, without over-lighting it, while the yellowed anthers and the pinkness of the flower’s petals diminish into shadow.
