When the majority of your focus is flora, creatures and wildlife in general, the harsh, lifeless winter months tend to be something of a challenge; discovering life, other than feathered creatures, is not so straightforward.
Owning a pet dog, you might imagine, is to have the perfect ‘model’ to work with all the time, right? …wrong! Produce a camera and Tess vanishes, sits still and stares off into the distance or runs over to the camera and attaches her nose to the lens. (Don’t get me wrong at this point, it causes her absolutely no distress – she’s simply camera shy ;0)
I captured her relaxing flat out on her side – she’d only just swallowed dinner and couldn’t be bothered to move on a full belly, as a result she took the second evasive option and refused to pay attention to me or the camera, lol.
I decided to produce the photo in grey-scale since it gives the slightly intrusive surroundings more of an even look and feel – plus Tess’s coat is black and white.
