365 Day Photo Project Day 654: Frosty Red Berries..?

Almost anything colourful, touched by the icy fingers of Jack Frost can make a stunning vision in winter gardens and this Japanese Skimmia (skimmia japonica) may well give the impression that it’s covered in frosty red berries, but the tiny red balls are in fact snugly closed buds, yet to unfold and blossom, typically in the latter part of the winter season.
