365 Day Photo Project Day 656: Fly Profits From Unseasonal Berberis

A fly (diptera), with proboscis outstretched, perched on the yellow flowers of a Darwin’s berberis shrub (Berberis Darwinii), also known as a barberry. As previously mentioned, this particular barberry blooms throughout the winter months, although it shouldn’t be flowering until the spring.
